Over the years, extensive efforts have been made to preserve and enhance the natural
qualities that distinguish The Fort Terrett Ranch. Fences and roads have been continuously maintained and corrals have been built to serve a variety of ranch needs. Several large native pecan trees grace the banks of the North Llano River and the area near the main house and historic parade grounds. Additionally, a pecan orchard containing nearly 3,000 pecan trees covers 78 acres, includes a computerized drip system for watering and fertilizing and is protected by a deer-proof fence. The pecan orchard is further enhanced by a harvesting barn equipped with a drier and a sorter.
The Fort Terrett Ranch bears the indelible imprints of an historic past that imbues the Ranch with a Texas aura that captures the imagination and takes you back to the adventures on the frontier when Cowboys, Indians, Texas Rangers, outlaws and the courageous ranchers settled the west in search of freedom and opportunity.
